Giuseppe Marconcini, born in 1774, was the son of Luigi Aloysius Marconcini and a dedicated pupil of Omobono Stradivari. He was a pupil of the last classical Cremona school of Lorenzo Storini. Residing and working in Ferrara, Marconcini crafted violins that are renowned for their golden-brown or bright red lacquer. These instruments offer a level of performance and beautiful tone that competes highly with those of his esteemed teacher.
